about
"Laura Mock is a strong name in contemporary music and surprises by bringing a single full of intense feelings. [...] With a more introspective and calm proposal, the song is a great choice for those who enjoy a softer, well-produced sound."
- Roadie Music
Laura Mock is a singer and a songwriter (and some combination thereof) based in NYC. Originally from Bangor, Maine, Laura started writing music at the age of 12 after she was inspired by trying to transcribe the score of How To Train Your Dragon by ear. She studied classical piano performance starting at age 6, and is very grateful her parents never let her quit. Laura attended New York University for Vocal Performance, where she graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor's of Music. She then released her first solo work with producer Jason Sill in June of 2023, a single track titled "Landlocked", which is part of her debut EP home//body, releasing 11/8/2024. Her original works range stylistically from adult contemporary pop to Americana to indie rock, always inspired by roots and the instruments of the Earth.
